I was approached to update a head shot for a local defense company executive. His current career level CEO and President of a mid-market defense and metal works company located in a rural area of North Carolina. He wanted to make sure his new head shot portrayed himself as leading a company located in a major metropolitan area.
Now I just needed to figure out how to do that in a building that was designed in the 1970’s and located in the middle of the countryside. I located some tall windows in the cafeteria and had the executive stand near them on top of the lunchroom tables to make it look like he is standing next to floor to ceiling glass. I used Photoshop to brighten the architecture and frost the windows to hide the view of the trees, fields, and parking lot that surrounded the building.
In the end we have an image of an executive standing by the windows of a high rise building in the downtown area of a major metropolitan area even though it was created inside a canteen located in the countryside.
