Ashley is getting ready to start a new acting job in a new state. She needed to update her head shots for her portfolio but she also needed something to include in the press release that announces her new position.
We chose to work around the Joy Performance Center in Kings Mountain, NC. This theatre is where she spent the summer performing in the play, Liberty Mountain The Revolutionary Drama. This is a theatre that is special to Ashley for a number of reasons so it made sense to feature the vintage facade in the background of the image used in the press release.
If you’ve ever attended a performance at the Joy, you know that freight trains pass within a few feet of the theatre, and they always sound their horns right in front of the building. This creates a certain, challenging ambiance for the performers and patrons alike. As we finished our session, we had a train sound a goodbye salute to Ashley as she prepares to leave town. The train also acted as a stylist assistant by providing just enough wind to create some great volume in Ashley’s hair.
